On Wednesday (June 16, 2010) in the evening, I attended a meeting organized by the Business Youth Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jeddah in the Ismail Abu Dawood Hall in the Chamber of Commerce. About five hundred men and women attended the meeting. This meeting came one day after Dr. Hayat Cindy was honored by His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, who awarded her the Makkah Excellence Award in recognition of her scientific effort in the field of biotechnology, whose impact extended to many countries in the world.
One of the most prominent inventions of Dr. Hayat is the Mars device, which is a sensor that combines magnetism and sound waves and can be used to diagnose diabetes with a high accuracy rate compared to other sensors. It has won many international awards in Britain and has been attracted by the US Space Agency, NASA, to work in its research laboratories and is currently working as a visiting researcher at the University Harvard

لقاء مع د. حياة سندي

حضرت يوم الأربعاء (16 يونيو، 2010) مساءا لقاءا نظمته لجنة شباب وشابات الأعمال التابعة للغرفة التجارية الصناعية بجدة وذلك بقاعة اسماعيل أبو داوود بالغرفة التجارية وحضر اللقاء قرابة الخمسائة شخص ما بين الرجال والنساء. وجاء هذا اللقاء بعد يوم واحد من تكريم الدكتورة حياة سندي من قبل صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير خالد الفيصل الذي قلدها جائزة مكة للتميز تقديرا لمجهودها العلمي في مجال التقنية الحيوية والذي امتد اثره لدول كثيرة في العالم.
أحد ابرز اختراعات الدكتورة حياة هو جهاز مارس وهو حساس يجمع المغناطيسية والموجات الصوتية ويمكن استخدامه لتشخيص مرض السكري بنسبة عالية الدقة مقارنة بالحساسات الاخرى وقد نالت الكثير من الجوائز العالمية في بريطانيا واستقطبتها وكالة الفضاء الامريكية ناسا للعمل في معامل البحث الخاصة بها وتعمل حاليا كباحث زائر في جامعة هارفارد
